Non-league football documentary Film Lowestoft town fc, Speak about how non-league footballs becoming more popular because of Wrexham, Jamie vardy, hashtag united. I like this because its easy to access and cheap, also the standards not awful so watching it is becoming so enjoyable and is something to do with friends and family. It became so much better for spectators because the interactive feel. Establishing shots of crown meadow, whilst speaking to Joe a lifelong supporter of Lowestoft town fc. Diegetic music plays quietly in the background as it cuts between headshots of him speaking and shots of the ground. Joe speals about how the game is being built up and is starting to make an impact and a name for itself. Fade to black, title, “grassroots football and the journey ahead of it”. Voiceover speaks about the league Lowestoft are in and the tier system of football. Speaks about how they are entered into the fa cup but enter a lot earlier as they must fight through the preliminary round. Speaks about hashtag united and their influence on lower non-league football, then speaks about afc Wrexham and the investment from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McAlhaney has attracted a crowd towards higher non-league football. But the money they’ve invested has brought them back into league 2 (professional football league) after 18 years. Hashtag united are a team who have made their way up in the lower leagues and have just been promoted from the league Lowestoft are in despite being founded in 2016 by youtuber Spencer Owen, this team caught attention off social media and has a lot of following. Anywhere they go founds from all around the country will follow. For example, the attendance at Lowestoft was in the thousands despite only usually having an attendance of around 400. Overall, I believe that teams like hashtag and Wrexham are good for the non-league as it brings more passion into the semi professional game. it also gives youngsters a chance to still have that football dream of playing on a pitch instead of being told they won’t make it professional there whole lives, they can still experience the feel of what its like to have a life as a footballer even if that is for their local side.
